LIVINGSTON, MT
Livingston is a small town of 7000 residents situated in the mountains of south central Montana, and was at one time the main gateway to Yellowstone National Park, located 50 miles to the south. Montana State University is located in Bozeman, 30 miles to the west. Outdoor recreational opportunities abound all year round, including blue ribbon trout fishing in the adjacent Yellowstone River, prime deer and elk hunting in the area national forests, guest ranches, skiing, snowmobiling, or just enjoying the picture post card scenery. Hundreds of miles of hiking and horseback trails through the mountains offer unlimited riding opportunities. Major horse activities are western performance ( reining, cutting, roping and barrel racing), trail riding, plus English disciplines as dressage and three day eventing.
